Behind Sacred Doors: A Visual Journey into Sinai

You are cordially invited to an exclusive evening on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Metropolitan Club in New York.

Join us for a rare and compelling look inside Saint Catherine’s Monastery in Sinai - one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited monastic communities. Through the work of acclaimed photographic journalist and author Lizy Manola, and in conversation with Reverend Dr George Tsourous, Trustee of the Saint Catherine Foundation and Archdeacon of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain, the evening will offer a unique perspective on a place where history, tradition, and daily life remain deeply intertwined.
This is an opportunity to encounter a world not often seen - brought to life through image, narrative, and lived experience.
The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and a presentation at 7:00 PM, and will conclude with a book signing.
Proceeds from the evening will support the work of the Saint Catherine Foundation in preserving the Monastery’s heritage and sustaining its living community.
We look forward to welcoming you.
